Tucked back in quiet canyon, 4 Seasons ranch is the home to our herd of exceptional Marchador horses. Our horses are exposed to a variety of terrain and situations on thousands of acres adjoing our ranch.

A modern, fully equipped reproductive lab gives us the ability to do onsite semen collections, artificial insemination and embryo transfers.

Our acres of pasture and fully stocked pond allow fun and relaxation for horses and humans alike.

4 Seasons Ranch

In 2002 Lori and Peter finished construction of their home, equestrian facilities on their working ranch in Little Sleeping Child Canyon in of the Bitterroot Valley where their horses have acres and acres of pastures, paddocks and hillsides to roam. The new barn and breeding facility was designed for comfort and efficiency and now houses 10 Marchadores.

The location provides access to thousands of acres of mountain trails, river, streams, lakes and cattle grazing areas which are make the perfect training ground for the sturdy, hard-working Marchadores.

In order to maintain the specialized training standards of the breed we have brought in one of the most knowledgeable horsemen in the breed, Dr. Fernando Fantao.

Trainer: We here at the 4 Seasons Marchador Ranch are happy to welcome and introduce Dr. Fernando Fontao. Dr. Fontao is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Brasil who has dedicated all his life to the horses. As a little boy, his first contact with horses was at his grandfather’s farm in a small inland town in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has been improving his abilities and knowledge since then. It’s been his great effort to seek for the most updated techniques in the World of Horses.

He considers what he’s been learning with the horses themselves to be the most important of all. “They’re my best teachers”, he says. Fernando has taken part in a great number of congresses, clinics and horsemanship courses in Brazil , where he could exchange his professional experience with other horseman from the USA , Switzerland , Israel , Argentina and Portugal, and he has also worked as a Gaited Horse trainer in The USA.

While in college, Fernando dedicated all his studies to Equine Science and he had the chance to organize and also take part in several courses and clinics about equine medicine, mostly reproduction. In this field of research, he has worked with reproduction, artificial Insemination, and Embryo Transfer in Brazil .

We welcome your visit to our ranch and are proud to show you these exceptional horses so you can experience these truly incredible horses.
